West Wiltshire's county town
County offices, industrial units and independent retail — Trowbridge and west Wiltshire sit comfortably within our regular round.
Trowbridge is the county town and carries the administrative buildings that go with it, alongside a solid base of manufacturing, distribution and independent retail. White Horse Business Park on the eastern edge is where most of the commercial enquiries we get originate.
The surrounding towns matter just as much: Westbury, Melksham, Bradford-on-Avon, Warminster and Corsham are all within fifteen or twenty minutes, and many of our west Wiltshire customers have premises in two or three of them.
Because Bath is only twenty minutes away, this area effectively sits on our Bath round — which makes response times better than customers usually expect from a Bristol-based firm.
About 50 minutes from Bristol via Bath, and covered on our Bath and Wiltshire round.
Different sites bring different problems. Here is what we typically deal with in each part of the area.
Trowbridge's main commercial estate — offices, distribution and trade units. Addressable fire alarms, monitored intruder alarms and IP CCTV are the standard package here.
Fifteen minutes north, a large industrial estate we cover on the same visit — workshops, warehousing and trade counters.
Manufacturing and storage units where high-bay detection and perimeter CCTV are usually the priorities.
Several of our Wiltshire customers run two or three small premises — a workshop in Westbury, an office in Trowbridge, a shop in Bradford-on-Avon. Putting them on one maintenance agreement with a shared service schedule and a single point of contact cuts cost and stops one site quietly falling out of compliance.
A lot of stock here is converted mill and Victorian commercial property. Wireless fire detection, sensible surface containment and radio intruder devices let us bring those buildings up to current standards without wrecking them or shutting the business for a week.
Design, installation, servicing and certification to BS 5839-1 for Trowbridge businesses — from a two-zone conventional panel in a shop to an addressable system across a multi-unit site.
BS 5266-1 emergency lighting design, installation, monthly and annual testing, with the paperwork your fire risk assessor and insurer will ask for.
HD and IP CCTV with remote app viewing, sensible camera placement and a GDPR-compliant setup — not twenty cameras where six would do.
Grade 2 and Grade 3 intruder alarms to BS EN 50131, wired or wireless, with optional 24/7 monitoring and keyholder or police response.
Fob, keypad, app and video-intercom entry for offices, workshops and apartment blocks, including gate integration and mobile call forwarding.
Planned servicing, fault repairs and 24/7 emergency call-out for maintenance customers across Trowbridge — usually on site the same or next working day.
Yes, along with Warminster, Corsham, Devizes and Chippenham. They all sit on the same west Wiltshire round.
They can, and it usually works out cheaper. One agreement, one schedule, one contact, and every site's certification kept together.
Yes — temporary alarms, site CCTV and wireless fire alarm units for construction and refurbishment projects in the area.
Less than most people expect. Wireless systems typically go in over one or two days, and we phase cabled work around your trading hours where we can.
