Every Service Starts With a Free Full Asset Register
Your first service visit includes a complete digital asset register of every contracted system on site — PDF reports, device-by-device pass and fail results, and a record granular enough to name the individual smoke detector.
Working across Portishead, Clevedon, Nailsea, Keynsham, Yate and South Gloucestershire, plus Somerset and Wiltshire.
We like knowing exactly what's on your wall. You'll like it too.
A lot of maintenance visits end with a certificate that says the system was tested. Lovely — but which devices passed? Which one is borderline? Where is it? Most paperwork can't tell you.
We work differently. Because we're a small team and we want to look after your site for years, we start by properly knowing it. The first service on any contract includes a full digital asset register of every contracted system, at no extra charge — and from then on, every visit adds device-level pass and fail results to that record.
It's not a sales tool and it isn't locked to us. It's your document, and it makes everyone's job easier — yours, your insurer's, and ours.
What you actually get
No jargon, no upsell attached. This is simply how we think maintenance should be done.
A full asset register, free with your first service
On our first visit we log every device on every contracted system — every smoke detector, heat detector, call point, sounder, emergency light, PIR sensor, door contact and panel. Make, model, location, condition. It's yours to keep, whatever happens.
PDF reports you can actually hand over
After each visit you get a clear PDF report detailing all equipment and devices on site. Send it straight to your insurer, landlord, fire risk assessor or head office — it's written to be understood by non-engineers.
Device-by-device pass and fail
Not a tick in a box for 'the alarm'. Every single device gets its own line with a pass or fail result and, if it fails, a plain-English reason and what it takes to put right. Down to the individual smoke detector on the landing.
Everything lives in your digital logbook
Your asset register, reports and test history feed straight into the free QR-scannable logbook that comes with every service contract. Scan the code on the wall and the whole record for that building is on screen.
Down to the individual device
"Granular" sounds like a buzzword, so here's what it means in practice, system by system.
Fire alarm (BS 5839)
Every detector, manual call point, sounder, interface and panel function listed individually — zone, address, device type, test result and any remarks.
Emergency lighting (BS 5266)
Each luminaire identified by location with its duration test result, charge status and lamp condition. Failures are mapped so your caretaker can find the fitting without ringing us.
Intruder alarm (BS 8243 / PD 6662)
Every PIR, door contact, shock sensor and keypad walk-tested and logged. If one sensor in the stockroom is intermittent, you'll know exactly which one and why.
Extinguishers & suppression
Each unit recorded with type, location, manufacture date, last service and next due date — so nothing quietly expires behind a door.
CCTV & access control
Cameras, recorders, readers and door hardware logged with firmware and condition notes, so upgrades can be planned instead of guessed.
AOV & smoke ventilation
Each vent, actuator and control point function-tested and recorded individually, with photographic evidence where it matters.
What a report line looks like
- Zone 2, Device 14 — Optical smoke detector, first-floor landing. Tested: Pass. Cleaned, sensitivity within range.
- Stockroom EL-07 — Emergency luminaire. Tested: Fail — battery holds 41 minutes of a 3-hour rating. Fixed price to replace quoted with the report.
- Rear door contact — Intruder alarm. Walk-tested: Pass. Magnet alignment adjusted while on site.
Why it matters once we're gone
The value of a good register shows up in between our visits — when someone else asks you questions.
Inspections stop being stressful
When a fire officer or insurer asks for evidence, you're not hunting through emails. The register shows what you have, the reports show it was tested, and the logbook shows the dates.
Faults get fixed faster
A failed device comes with its exact location and a fixed-price remedy. Approving the repair takes one email — no re-survey, no guesswork, no inflated 'we found a problem' invoice.
Budgeting becomes predictable
Knowing the age and condition of every device means you can plan replacements over years instead of being surprised by them. We'll tell you what's coming, honestly.
The asset register works alongside our service contracts with the free digital logbook — the QR code by your panel opens the same record, and our guide to digital fire safety logbooks explains what the law expects you to keep.
