M4, A303 and central Wiltshire

Fire & Security Engineers Across Wiltshire

Swindon and Trowbridge have their own pages; this is everywhere else in Wiltshire, from Malmesbury down to Tidworth.

Wiltshire splits neatly into three for us: the M4 corridor in the north, the west Wiltshire towns around Trowbridge, and the A303 and Salisbury Plain area in the south. All three are within a comfortable round from Bristol and Bath.

The customers are mostly the same as everywhere else we work — independent shops, offices, workshops, care providers, landlords and small manufacturers — with the addition of a strong defence-related supply chain around Amesbury, Tidworth and Corsham, where documentation and access control audit trails matter more than usual.

Wiltshire is covered by regular planned rounds out of Bristol and Bath, with 24/7/365 emergency call-out for maintenance customers.

Business parks and areas we work in around Wiltshire

Different sites bring different problems. Here is what we typically deal with in each part of the area.

Solstice Park, Amesbury

Distribution and defence-adjacent businesses on the A303. Access control with full audit trails, perimeter CCTV and monitored intruder detection are typical requirements.

Bumpers Farm Industrial Estate, Chippenham

One of north Wiltshire's biggest industrial estates — workshops, trade counters and storage units needing practical fire detection and shutter protection.

Kembrey Park, Swindon

Covered in detail on our Swindon page, and the anchor for our north Wiltshire maintenance round.

Churchfields, Salisbury

Salisbury's main industrial area, alongside a city centre full of listed retail and hospitality premises that need wireless solutions.

North and west Wiltshire (M4 corridor)

Chippenham, Melksham, Calne, Corsham, Malmesbury and Bradford-on-Avon form our busiest Wiltshire cluster after Swindon. It is a mix of light manufacturing, offices and independent retail, with a fair number of converted mill and stone buildings where wireless fire detection is the sensible answer.

Corsham has a strong technology and data presence, which brings requests for early-warning aspirating detection in server rooms and tightly controlled access to specific areas.

East and south Wiltshire

Salisbury is the main centre in the south — a cathedral city with heavily protected buildings in the middle and conventional commercial premises around Churchfields and the ring road. Hospitality, retail and professional offices make up most of the enquiries.

Marlborough is largely independent retail and hospitality on the High Street. Amesbury, Tidworth, Warminster and Westbury have a defence and logistics character, where security systems need proper records and controlled key or fob issue.

Devizes and central Wiltshire

Devizes covers brewing, food production, retail and a large rural hinterland. As with rural Somerset, 4G signalling and solar-powered cameras solve the connectivity problems that catch out systems designed for towns.

What we install and maintain in Wiltshire

Fire alarm systems

Design, installation, servicing and certification to BS 5839-1 for Wiltshire businesses — from a two-zone conventional panel in a shop to an addressable system across a multi-unit site.

Emergency lighting

BS 5266-1 emergency lighting design, installation, monthly and annual testing, with the paperwork your fire risk assessor and insurer will ask for.

CCTV

HD and IP CCTV with remote app viewing, sensible camera placement and a GDPR-compliant setup — not twenty cameras where six would do.

Intruder alarms

Grade 2 and Grade 3 intruder alarms to BS EN 50131, wired or wireless, with optional 24/7 monitoring and keyholder or police response.

Access control & intercoms

Fob, keypad, app and video-intercom entry for offices, workshops and apartment blocks, including gate integration and mobile call forwarding.

Maintenance & remedials

Planned servicing, fault repairs and 24/7 emergency call-out for maintenance customers across Wiltshire — usually on site the same or next working day.
